Ilsley Vineyards




At Ilsley, the label of "family winery" isn't a marketing strategy; it's a way of life.  The work is divided between three third-generation siblings and their spouses.  Each has a full time job and works for the family business as a labor of love.

Janice Ilsley, along with her fiancé, Al Carravajal, manage direct sales for Ilsley vineyards.  Janice is a Montessori teacher in Napa, while Al is a retired machinist who worked for  Chevron.  Janice's daughter, Kimberly, is a college student.

Ernie Ilsley and his wife Ginette oversee day to day operations at Ilsley Vineyards.   A graduate of  U.C. Davis  with a degree in Agricultural Economics, Ernie works as a viticulturist for California Grapevine Nursery.  Ginette Teaches fourth grade at Vichy Elementary School.  Ernie and Ginette raise three daughters Julia, Alyssa, and Olivia on the family estate

David Ilsley and his wife Lorrie farm the Ilsley estate vineyards.  David graduated from the University of Washington in Political Science, and is Director of Operations at Shafer Vineyards.    Lorrie is a fifth grade teacher at Vichy Elementary School.  David and Lorrie raise their two daughters, Analise and Kate, on the family estate.

Ed and Sandy Ilsley raised Janice, Ernie, and David on the Ilsley family estate. Ed, a retired crane operator/supervisor for Kaiser Steele Corporation, instilled a passion for grape farming in his children.  Sandy, the backbone of the Ilsley family, worked in the Napa and St. Helena school districts.
